What often today represents the height of organic and gourmet cuisine was once simply a time-honored way of life for Old World families. It was anything but trendy or posh, rather a way of preparing and preserving foods naturally, wholesome, and fresh. 

Every season brought forth its bounty; from it, you would take the harvest in season, and preserve it naturally for future use. This entailed hard work and long hours with the only compensation being providing healthy wholesome meals for the family. These recipes and preserving techniques have been handed down from generation to generation to guarantee quality and flavor.

FraLi Gourmet offers these time-honored, old-world traditions. We use only the freshest ingredients, with an all-natural preserving procedure. Our dried Pasta is naturally dried for 48 hours allowing the pasta to lock in flavor. FraLi Gourmet’s Vegetables are packed in Extra Virgin Olive Oil, not brine so they are good to the last drop!

Our Story

A Family Tradition

Franco & Lisa

After a decade of living in Italy and owning a restaurant, Franco and Lisa Marra moved to America. They dreamed of opening a trattoria where wholesome, good foods were prepared for busy families.

As a busy working Mom, Lisa struggled with time to prepare wholesome meals for her children without chemicals, artificial preservatives, additives, and harmful hormones.

“I knew back then that busy moms needed food fast, not fast food. Kids of all ages appreciate and enjoy good wholesome foods prepared with love, Our dream that we could spread these important concepts of eating well was becoming a reality.”

FraLi Gourmet was named after, Franco and Lisa, the co-founders of FraLi Gourmet LLC.

Alessandro & Josh

After over a decade of serving fresh pasta in downtown Savannah, Georgia, Franco and Lisa began discussing their retirement. When hearing of his parent’s desire to retire soon, their youngest son, Alessandro Marra, started thinking more seriously about taking over the family business.

However, he didn’t want to go at it alone. So, he reached out to one of his longtime best friends and childhood neighbors, Joshua Wooten. With an extensive background and career in the food and beverage industry here in Savannah, Josh couldn’t turn down this exciting offer.  In September 2023, Alessandro and Josh officially took over as the new owners of FraLi Gourmet. Although, Lisa and Franco are always close by!
